We had a fabulous “Family Fun Day” on Sunday, May 29th.

It was attended by almost 300 people. Many thanks to all who helped make the day such a success. We had live music from the Zebra Doctors, the Troubadour Mules and Eamon Quinn. (Thanks guys!) The Bouncy Castle, face-painting and ice-cream van were popular with our younger folk. A tug-of-war provided excellent entertainment! Refreshments were enjoyed by all and a wonderful variety of delicious home-baking added great flavour to the day!

Congratulations to Amy Mannion, Ciarán Gallagher, Adam Lee, Ray de Graaf and Daniel Scully who were confirmed on February 29th. Prior to their big day they went to Knock for a day with the confirmation class from Claran school.

Congratulations also to Ellie Chapman, Kate Bracken and Conor Murray who received the Sacrament of First Penance on March 10th. They received their First Holy Communion on May 8th.

Great credit is due to all the children who received sacraments this year for the respectful and enthusiastic manner in which they prepared.
